Students interested in Vermont Tech’s nursing program(s) must begin with the Practical Nursing (PN) certificate program unless you fall under one of the following categories:
Applicants applying to our Associate Degree Nursing (ADN) program are required to currently be an LPN OR be within a PN academic program at another institution. You will be required to provide proof of your LPN licensure with no restrictions/sanctions/conditions with a 3.5 minimum GPA after your first semester and 3.0 GPA overall in your LPN coursework or equivalent. If not a VTC graduate, you must also have transferrable credits in Anatomy & Physiology I & II, Nutrition, and Human Growth & Development. Applicants applying to our Bachelor's Degree Nursing (BSN) program are required to have an unencumbered/conditioned, active license as a Registered Nurse (RN) within the United States. You must be an RN graduate of an accredited nursing program with a 2.5 minimum ADN GPA.
The Dental Hygiene Online Degree Completion program is intended for hygienists who already hold an associate degree and are interested in earning a bachelor’s degree. This two- year program is offered online and is designed to provide a convenient option for students who plan to continue working while earning their degree. Applicants applying to this program are required to have, or be in progress to completing, their Associate Degree in Dental Hygiene with a 2.5 minimum GPA.
